Helping to connect the communities that you serve, and are working to strengthen, to the information and resources that I’m sharing can prove helpful to community members as they work to build more marvelous lives.

Your experiences in, and your engagement with, the communities that you serve could make you a great resource as I work to learn more about, and to be of assistance to, those in communities.)

4. Get involved in an exciting project designed to help youth and young adults as they work to evaluate information and information sources.

I want to help ensure that our youth and young adults are best equipped with the information and skills that they need in order to be knowledgable about, and to successfully navigate, the world around them. They must be well-educated.

Being well-educated includes understanding how to evaluate information and information sources. This includes, but is certainly not limited to, understanding how to evaluate news and news sources.

I’m working on an important project that’s designed to help youth, young adults and those who invest in their lives as they work to evaluate information. An important part of the evaluation process is determining if the information source is credible.

Your involvement in this project could be as simple as:

Sharing a simple tip or strategy that could be of benefit to youth and young adults. This could include providing insight regarding investigative and research strategies that may prove to be helpful as our youth and young adults are working to discover how to separate real news from fake news.
Offering tips and strategies that you believe could prove to be helpful to youth and young adults as they work to evaluate information sources, including news sources, news and other information
Sharing any resource or resources that you use to help you in evaluating news sources, news and other information
Sharing any resource or resources that you believe could prove to be helpful to youth and young adults as they work to evaluate news sources, news and other information
Sharing information and news sources that you have found to be credible
Sharing any resource or resources that you use to help you in evaluating news sources, news and other information

Sharing tips and strategies to help youth and young adults become better critical thinkers

Why?

There are many reasons.  I will share a few.

1. You shouldn’t seek to become involved for selfish ambition simply because it’s the wrong thing to do.

2. Too much is at stake. We are dealing with the lives of people.

3. You could stand to lose more than you gain. You may gain additional exposure but it may not be the kind of exposure that you are hoping to receive. You may find that both you and your organization are exposed by others for wrongdoing.

What will I be using this Twitter platform to do?

I am making connections that could prove to be helpful as I work to make life more Marvelous for youth, young adults and for those who invest in their lives.

Absolutely not! Engagement with people, places, things (including brands) does not necessarily equal endorsement!

Why did I set up ConnectorAllen Twitter account although I have other Twitter accounts? What’s different about this account?

I set up the ConnectorAllen Twitter account up in order to have a place to engage freely with people and things (including brands) as I work to discover people, places and things (including information) that can prove to be helpful as I work to make life more Marvelous for youth and young adults and for those who invest in their lives.

I emphasize freely because I have been hesitant to engage with people and other resources that are new to me on other platforms where I work to share great information with those who I work serve because I didn’t want to give the perception that my engagement implied endorsement.

So here, I clearly and repeatedly disclose that no interactions here imply any endorsement of any person, place, thing, resource, strategy or information.

This allows me to more comfortably interact with people and resources that I may or may not continue to interact with or share about.

I am getting to know about people, places and things (including resources and strategies) that could prove to be helpful to me as I work to help parents. They could also prove to be helpful to youth and young adults. They could also be helpful to parents, school teachers, school administrators, child care professionals, business leaders and others who invest in the lives of our youth and young adults.

My efforts will often focus on connecting with people, places and things connected with such things as particular industries or locations as I explore various issues.

One of my greatest commitments is working to get those who I work to assist the information and resources that they need right now. For this reason, at other times, I may be reaching out to, interacting with and otherwise engaging in communications with and regarding people, places and things in a wide array of fields, industries and locations.

How do I select who, what or where I will seek to learn more about?

The topics that I choose to address are chosen because:

I feel that it is something that I need to know in order to be of better assistance to those who I work to assist
It is something that I believe could prove to helpful to those who I work to assist
It is something that I know could prove to helpful to those who I work to assist
